Put Reading First: The Research Building Blocks for Teaching Children to Read
http://www.nationalreadingpanel.org/Publications/researchread.htm
CAMP OUR TIME is a sleep-away camp for kids who stutter, their young family members, and friends,
ages 8-18. At Camp Our Time, kids who stutter come together from around the nation to gain confidence,
validation, and encouragement to pursue their dreams. Our Time helps campers communicate effectively,
engage socially, and succeed at school and in their everyday lives. We also welcome young family
members and friends of children who stutter who learn how to better support their sibling, cousin, or
friend who stutters year-round.
Camp takes place at Blue Star Camps (an American Camp Association Accredited Camp) in Hendersonville,
North Carolina, 30 minutes from Asheville. Nestled in the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains, the private 500-
acre estate is a sanctuary from the stresses of the real world.
